Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using File Yeet ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.

2. Description of Service

File Yeet is a peer-to-peer file transfer application that enables users to send files directly between devices. The Software includes:

  • Local transfers: Free peer-to-peer transfers over local networks
  • Relay transfers: Transfers routed through relay servers when direct connections aren't possible, subject to usage limits and paid plans

3. Proprietary Software

File Yeet is proprietary, closed-source software. All rights, title, and interest in and to the Software are owned by File Yeet. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Software in accordance with these Terms.

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software
  • Modify, adapt, or create derivative works
  • Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the Software
  • Remove any proprietary notices or labels

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the Software only for lawful purposes
  • Not use the Software to transfer illegal, harmful, or infringing content
  • Not attempt to circumvent usage limits or billing mechanisms
  • Not use the Software in any way that could damage or impair the relay infrastructure

5. Paid Plans & Billing

Certain features (bulk relay transfers) require a paid subscription. Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis. You may cancel at any time, and your access will continue until the end of the current billing period.

We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

6. Availability & Uptime

We strive to maintain high availability for relay services but do not guarantee 100% uptime. Local peer-to-peer transfers function independently of our infrastructure.

7. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Software is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Files transferred through File Yeet are end-to-end encrypted; we cannot access their contents.

8. Limitation of Liability

File Yeet is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from use of the Software, including but not limited to data loss, transfer failures, or service interruptions.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to paid services if you violate these Terms. Free local transfer functionality will continue to work regardless.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
